    2. How We Use Your Information

    • To respond, schedule, and maintain communication about your matter.
    • To send you SMS messages about appointments, reminders, intake follow-ups, document requests, and case status updates (only if you have opted in).
    • To send marketing or promotional messages only if you have provided separate, explicit marketing consent.

    • To process enrollments and maintain accurate records.

    3. SMS / Text-Messaging Privacy Policy

This section specifically addresses our SMS/text-messaging program and complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CAN-SPAM Act, CTIA guidelines, and A2P 10DLC carrier requirements.

    3.1 Consent Collection

We obtain express written consent before sending any SMS/text messages. Consent is collected through clearly labeled, unchecked opt-in checkboxes on our website forms. Where you must affirmatively check a consent checkbox to opt in, checkboxes are never pre-checked; you must actively check the box to receive messages from Galbo Family Law, LLC.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase, retention, or access to our services. You are not required to opt in to SMS messaging to use our website, schedule a paid consultation, or retain the firm.

    3.2 SMS Message Categories

    Non-Marketing (Transactional) Messages
Appointment confirmations, scheduling reminders, intake follow-ups, document and information requests, case status updates, and account-related communications. Sent only with your explicit transactional consent.

You may opt in to one or both categories independently on separate checkboxes. Marketing and non-marketing consent are separate. You do not need to consent to marketing messages in order to use our services. Marketing consent is optional.

    Marketing Messages
Occasional firm updates, newsletters, and educational content. Sent only with your separate marketing consent.

3.3 Message Frequency & Sending Hours

Message and data rates may apply. For questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

    • Marketing messages: up to approximately 4 messages per month.
    • Non-marketing messages: frequency varies based on your appointment schedule and active matter (typically a small number of messages per week during active representation).
    • Sending hours: messages are sent between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM local time only, except in time-sensitive case scenarios.

    3.4 Opt-Out Instructions

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to 203-943-1583. After you send "STOP", a confirmation message will be sent and no further messages will be delivered unless you re-opt-in through our website.

    3.5 Help & Support

For help, reply "HELP" to any message, or contact us directly at attygalbo@galbofamilylaw.com or 203-943-1583.

    3.6 Data Use & Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

    3.7 Carrier Information

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most regional U.S. carriers.

    3.8 Age Restriction

You must be at least 18 years of age to opt in to our SMS messaging programs. We do not knowingly solicit personal information or send messages to individuals under the age of 18.

    3.9 Record-Keeping

We maintain records of all SMS consent (including the date, time, method of opt-in, and the specific language presented at the point of consent). These records are timestamped and securely stored for a minimum of five (5) years to comply with TCPA requirements and carrier policies.

    3.10 A2P 10DLC Compliance Statement
